Canada’s Food Guide from Health Canada Brain Pop is an educational website (have to pay, but well worth it…however there are a few free videos each day posted) with over a thousand short engaging animated movies (starring Tim and Moby) for students in grades K-12!!! Along with the videos the site contains interactive quizzes and related materials covering all subjects. Along with animations, the site has educator materials including lesson plans and a huge library of educational games. Activities can be either, individual, team, small or large group. You can use Brain Pop on your laptop, smartphone or tablet. The BrainPop videos and materials really engage students. I have used the link below in a Grade 4 lesson on Smoking. What was really awesome about the video, was that there was also an interactive quiz at the end. A great way to check for understanding! |
